Health, Safety & Environment
Trinidad’s commitment to health, safety and environment (HS&E) starts with our management team’s HS&E Leadership Steering Committee and is instilled in every worker, every day. Well-defined roles and responsibilities ensure crews understand what is expected of them. We also share best practices company wide to drive continuous improvement and to ensure that our approach to HS&E is consistent.
Trinidad starts our health and safety program with extensive hands-on training. This ensures our crews understand the risks involved in their work and how to minimize them by using safe processes and practices. Trinidad’s rigs are also equipped with drilling technologies that help to protect crews, including automation and integrated control systems.
Trinidad equips our people with the tools and resources they need to do their work safely and in an environmentally responsible way.
We have found better ways to contain drilling fluids from the top drive to the mud tank by identifying areas where spills and leaks are more likely, and engineering containment solutions. We are also upgrading our rigs with more efficient engines that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In the future, we expect to add waste-heat capture and recycling systems to our fleet.
